Ethno wine-gastronomic tour

Day 1. Tbilisi

Meeting guests at the Tbilisi airport.

Sightseeing tour around Old Tbilisi - Sioni, Peace Bridge, cable car, Narikala Fortress, Str. Shardeni, wine tasting with snacks in the wine cellar.

Check into a hotel. Free time.

Departure for dinner at the restaurant "Melnitsa". On request - a master class for the production of Georgian bread.

 

Day 2. Kakheti (Telavi, Tsinandali, Gremi, Kvareli)

Breakfast at the hotel

Departure in one from the most ancient cities of Georgia Telavi, Alazani valley. Alaverdi Cathedral and its monastic complex (UNESCO heritage), wine tasting in the monastery.

Lunch at the Old Telavi restaurant / Wine yard / Chateau Mere Restaurant.

Chavchavadze's heritage in Tsinandali, a tour of the Shumi Winery and the Vaziani Museum, tasting local wines in the museum.

Following the Silk Road - the castle in Gremi. Moving to Kvareli.

Check-in at the hotel Royal Batoni or Eden Kvareli.

Dinner at the hotel restaurant.

 

Day 3. Kakheti (Kvareli, Sighnaghi)

Breakfast at the hotel.

Hareba wine tunnel excursion, wine tasting, Lake Ilya

Departure to the Georgian city of love - Sighnaghi.

Tour of the city, wine tasting in the winery "Tears of Fazana"

Lunch at the restaurant "Sanadimo" or "Pirosmani"

Departure to Borjomi. Dinner at the restaurant "Chveni Ojahi"

 

Day 4. Borjomi-Vardzia-Rabat-Borjomi

Breakfast at the hotel Departure for an excursion to the city of Akhaltsikhe.

A walk along the Borjomi’s park of Mineral Waters. Rise on the cable car to the plateau, walk along the Borjomi forest. Free time

Day 5. Racha is the Shaor water reservoir.

Transfer to Racha. After driving through the Shaori reservoir, we will visit the unique temple of the Golden Age of Nikorsmind, famous for its frescoes and bas-reliefs. Moving to Ambrolauri

"Bugeuli" is a very large winery in western Georgia, specializing in dry and semisweet rachin wines: "Khvanchkara", "Tetra", "Usakhelaura", "Twishi", "Alexandrouli", "Barakoni", etc.

Transfer to Kutaisi

Excursion around the city of Kutaisi, visiting the temple of Bagrat

Day 6. Megrelia

Breakfast at the hotel.

Visit to the Okace canyon and the twin waterfalls. Walking tour to the canyon (544 steps), panoramic view from the observation deck (140m), tasting of spring water. And the park, founded by the princes of Dadiani.

Lunch in Martvili

Transfer to Senaki. Visit Nokalakevi - fortress city in western Georgia, the place of the legendary city of Aya, where according to legend the Argonauts sailed

Zugdidi. Visiting the palace of Dadiani - the elegant ancestral palace of Megrel princes Dadiani, an authentic decoration of the city. The Zugdidi State Ethnographic Museum, located in the palace of Dadiani, was founded in 1921 on the basis of personal archives and items, princes of Megrelia.

Day 7. Batumi

Wine tasting in Adjara wine house, dinner there.

Day 8. Batumi-Borjomi

The mountain part of Adjara: the confluence of the Chorokhi and Adzhariszkhali rivers, the Mahuntseti waterfall, the arch bridge of the time of Queen Tamara, the monument of Georgian architecture, the Zvare-ea church is located on the very top of the mountain, from where you can enjoy stunning views of the surroundings.

Batumi Dolphinarium

Lunch in "Old Boulvard", where we will learn how to cook khinkali and khachapuri in Ajarski with the chef of the restaurant. And we also learn some secrets of cooking shish kebab in Georgian.

Transfer to Borjomi

Day 9. Chateau Muhrani-Mtskheta

Breakfast in the hotel

Excursion to the wine factory of Chateau Muhrani, with wine tasting and appetizers.

Excursion to Mtskheta. Svetitskhoveli Cathedral.

Lunch in the restaurant. Airport transfer.

Rtveli is an ancient festival of harvesting grapes in Georgia. In this Caucasian country wine has a special cult significance, the traditions of the Rtveli date back to ancient times, which have their roots in the celebration of the middle of autumn with abundance and variety of harvest.

The holiday is not tied to any date, but depends on the date of harvesting grapes in specific parts of the country. This event occurs usually at the end of September in eastern Georgia and in the middle of October in western Georgia.
